Púca Festival

In collaboration with the Puca Festival, we illuminated three separate locations in the town of Athboy. In an ode to historic Ireland and its Oiche Shamhna mythos, we designed a visual experience that instilled a sense of excitement tinged with fear the festival team sought in brief. We primarily used amber, blue and yellow hues so as to enable the piece to coalesce with the traditional while still creating something steeped in modern visual spectacle.

This project took place over the course of three weeks. We covered 5 acres of land with an array of lighting rigs that transformed the space into something otherworldly. Using our advanced technical solutions; we created a display in hard-to-reach locations and terrains using battery-operated, fully wireless DMX control systems, eliminating the need for generators and cable runs. The piece originated at the hill of Tara and travelled down throughout the rest of the town.
